Hair studio content has to show more than a finished result. It needs to communicate technical skill, salon atmosphere, stylist personality, product quality, and the feeling of being looked after.

DO: Shoot Hair in Accurate Light

Colour work must be shown honestly. Natural light can be beautiful, but it should not distort the result. Avoid heavy filters, overly warm presets, and lighting that makes blonde, brunette, copper, or balayage tones look different from real life.

DON'T: Only Shoot the Back of the Head

Back-of-head result shots are useful, but they should not be the entire feed. Capture movement, side angles, detail close-ups, consultation moments, product application, styling finishes, and the client experience when consent allows.

DO: Clean the Station Before Every Shot

Remove hair from floors and capes, wipe mirrors, organise tools, straighten chairs, and check the background. A premium studio can look average if the frame includes clutter, foil piles, messy trolleys, or visual distractions.

DON'T: Ignore the Studio Atmosphere

High-end clients are booking the environment as much as the result. Capture the chair, mirror, coffee, product shelf, consultation area, lighting, robes, and small brand details that make the studio feel considered.

DO: Build Signature Stylist Content

Each stylist should have a repeatable content angle: colour correction, extensions, blonding, textured hair, glossy brunette, bridal styling, or healthy hair journeys. This helps the audience understand who to book and why.
